Mercury in Libra is a time to get excited about relationships! Mercury is quite comfortable in the sociable sign of Libra. The Air element is very much about the mind and communications and balance, so Libra meshes well with Mercury. Collaborative conversations can help us gain clarity over the coming weeks. This can be a startling time to visualize how we look outside ourselves making it easier to express our love in an authentic way.
The reminder of this week and next week we may experience astonishing revelations. Insights on who we are as individuals, who we are in relationships and how we give and receive love. There could be an exchange that allows a relationship to progress in a way that feels different. Conversations that expose a different understanding of what’s going on beneath the surface.
Venus opposing Chiron is not necessarily a happy aspect – Venus in Libra is primed for charm, grace, desirability and sparkle. However, with Venus opposition to Chiron there’s an ugly reminder of blemishes, feeling unattractive, or of being on the losing end of a relationship. There will very likely be some uncomfortable conversations happening. Whatever is happening in your relationship during this aspect or with others in general, it’s important to work through the feeling, just know that it doesn’t mean you’re not attractive or not lovable. This is a push for you to stand up for yourself even as you encounter an old (Chiron) wound. There is healing when you push past all the surface smokescreen and boldly say “This is me, I’m ok just the way I am.”
This time can signify an ending or a peak that leads to reconciliation or a time when you decide to stop playing the game and reveal your authentic self. If you’ve been giving too much, the unhappy consequences will be reflected back at you. But so will the healing if you’re ready to take a stand.
That’s really all that Chiron asks – your honest acceptance of what hurts. That’s when the healing begins. It doesn’t mean the wound goes away. Rather, the love, charm or attraction deepens with your understanding, it’s then that you can be vulnerable and disappointed while loving and acknowledging your value.
What others reflect back at you does not impact these things – you are not a slave to their perceptions. But, the reflections do provide you with crucial information about who you’re attracting and why.
If they are wounded or they wound you, how do you respond? Do you turn yourself inside out in an effort to make them happy or distort yourself in an effort to avoid the next wound? Venus in Libra can be the chameleon, skillfully morphing into whomever the other person wants. With a Chiron opposition, that morphing will leave you bleeding because you’re not being honest about who you really are.
This opposition is your chance to heal through raw honesty. If it’s your time to shine, you will do so when you accept yourself unconditionally, acknowledge the wounds, forgive those who have hurt or disappointed you and release those old beliefs.
Drop into the heart and go with what “feels” good, follow your intuition! YOU GOT THIS!
