We are in between the eclipses and just before Pluto moves into its annual five-month retrograde. This is the last Lunar cycle that will land in Scorpio for another eight years.
Pluto entered Aquarius, in March and will be retrograde from May 1st – October 10th. During this transit will give us all an opportunity to make real progress on personal goals and initiatives.
This is your chance to settle into the very new energy that was unleashed when Pluto entered Aquarius for the first time in 225 years – did you feel the shift?
Mercury has been retrograde since April 21st and will remain retrograde until May 14th, following suit is Saturn and Neptune in June – WHEW! It may be difficult to know who’s driving this bus let alone knowing where we’re headed? Just know that it’s probably going to get a little rough over the next few weeks. Once April ends, all bets are off.
The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This particular phase of the Moon occurs at 14 degrees and 58 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 10 – 20 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

This is the last lunar eclipse that’ll land in Scorpio for another eight years. But remember Scorpio is a fixed sign and we are after all in Taurus mansion, which is also a fixed sign. What this means is that it may not be so easy to just snap out it—“it” being whatever negativity, self-defeating behaviors or limiting beliefs we are holding on to. This can hold us back from being our most authentic self and living the life we dream about.
Consider some of the big “Pluto into Aquarius” themes we’ve been hearing a lot about over the past couple months relate to the evolution of humanity—and fear of its devolution. The banking sector took a hard hit as Pluto entered Aquarius, not unlike what happened the last time Pluto changed signs in 2008. The lurking concerns about the dark side of AI became ever-present almost overnight. And of course, the threat of unhinged strongmen with access to weapons of mass destruction always looms somewhere in our consciousness.
This is a time of Global awakening and transformation. We are seeing old systems falling by the way side and old paradigms falling apart. As uncertain as this time is, it’s also a time for amazing out of the ordinary opportunities.
We can all get through this and perhaps reinvent ourselves as we get stronger in learning how to thrive during uncertain times.
As you know, this infamous astrology transit is known to cause mass hysteria, malfunctions, and delays, and it’s something we all should pay attention to.
This retrograde is happening in Taurus; the classic Mercury retrograde mishaps include technology issues, lost emails, miscommunications, etc. Uranus, the planet of sudden, unexpected change conjuncts Mercury – this conjunction can actually help us come up with new solutions to old problems.
We can also expect that this retrograde will be a bit bumpy since it overlaps with the first eclipse season of 2023. This will make things more annoying, but also more powerful.
Interesting tidbit about this Mercury retrograde and eclipse season is they have in common very transformative energy. This can bring opposition and triggers so we can expect to be challenged and triggered. The good thing is that we will also be given the opportunity to evolve out of those old negative patterns and situations.
To really evolve during this retrograde, it’s important to remain flexible, which can be extremely challenging since Taurus is a fixed sign and often resistant to change. Mercury is all about re-looking, reconsidering, readjusting in order to bring about positive changes.
Prepare to have some struggles with staying in your comfort zone opposed to moving forward toward something new. Flexibility is the key here, go with the flow and you’ll be able to get safely through to the other side.
Rise above the noise and have faith through these crazy times. Trust that you have the strength and power to create what you came here to accomplish.
